Every day, there are 12 reports of domestic violence to police in the Sutherland Shire and St. George areas
What key speakers say
“The communities we build are bigger than just bricks and mortar, it’s about creating vibrant, connected communities where people want to live. We must all come together to not only ensure the communities have the infrastructure and support networks in place to thrive, but also the sustainability to continue to thrive in the future.”
“Council’s purpose as an organisation is to “create a thriving community of active lives connected to nature.” There is more to creating a thriving community than approving development applications and building homes. We must also plan and facilitate the social infrastructure that creates liveable communities, and provides the opportunity for the community to grow and support itself.”
The Unlock Program from Sutherland Shire Family Services is a great initiative which assists local children and families impacted by domestic violence. Giving back to our community is an important part of what we do, and this program has our full support. We encourage you to jump on board and get behind this amazing initiative.
